I saw Jenna's vlog today on why girls hate each other. I've never seen so much truth in one place if I'm honest. (HAH. See what I did there?)
In her vlog she basically says girls hate each other because were constantly in competition. And she's right! You know for a fact you probably sit there on facebook looking at a pretty girl who has loads of likes on her photos, and you're trying to pick fault with her to make your self feel better!
We've grown up in a society where we always want to be the best. But sometimes, instead of trying to be the best that we can be, we try to be the best of someone else. Someone who we feel is better at something than we are, prettier than we are, has nicer hair than we do.
In all honesty, if we stopped comparing who we are against others it does in fact take a lot of pressure off. There's always going to be someone out there who's smarter than us, thinner than us, prettier than us or even something completely irrelevant like having a better looking boyfriend than us.
If you kinda sit back and look at the situation, it's all based on opinion. Everyone's attractive to someone, she might be better at tennis than you, but so what?! You're better at football.
The real question here is what really measures beauty and skill? Who is to say she's better than you or you're better than her. Most girls will always have low confidence or be very self conscious and complain about them self because their hips are "too big" or wish to be skinnier. So whilst you're sat there wishing to be like her, she could be sat there wishing be like you.
As Jenna said, the best you can offer yourself and everyone else in the world is to be yourself. Because there's only one of you, you're limited and that makes you pretty damn special. Just be thankful that you probably have something that someone else wants. ;D
